High School MusicalFor those who have been constantly dinging Apple to add full-length, feature films, well, you’ll still have to wait a little longer. But if you happened to ask Apple for one full-length, made-for-television film, you’re in luck. (If that’s actually the case then you must also be all-powerful, in which case, why didn’t you ask for more?!?)

In any case, the first step towards selling movies in iTunes has finally happened. Disney has released their feature-length movie, High School Musical, which aired on the Disney Channel. Apparently it’s like West Side Story but with less snapping and fewer Academy Awards. Actually, I just made that up; I have no idea what it’s about. But it’s a movie and it’s in iTunes, so who cares? It’s still big news. It’s also a bargain at just $1.99 because the DVD is scheduled to be released in May at the full retail cost of $26.99.

The movie is available via that link above, but is currently not featured anywhere in the iTMS and is not even listed under the Disney Channel’s series, but it is there and appears to be available for purchase and download.

Thanks to regular reader Bill Huff for the pointer.
